A very important design factor of this luxury highland holiday cottage was light - so we have endeavoured to make all rooms as light and bright as possible to enable guests to enjoy the magnificent modern and antique mix within the barn conversion. The main rooms are positioned to gain full advantage of sunlight at all times. The kitchen/lounge/vestibule doors are old pitch pine from a local Camerons Cottage has full double glazing throughout and a log boiler central heating system. There is also a wood burning stove for the colder nights which makes the cottage very cosy. The cottage is fully insulated making it warm and cosy throughout the winter months. Entrance to the open plan kitchen/dining room/living room can be gained from the main hall way. Both front and back doors ensure a light, bright entrance allowing plenty of light to flow into the hallway. Kitchen & Dining area
Top of the range equipment is installed - ceramic hob with extractor fan - built in electric fan oven and integral dishwasher. A microwave and spacious fridge/freezer and washing machine. Crockery and cutlery comprising of 12 place settings are supplied along with everything one might possibly need in a A breakfast bar separates the kitchen/living area with 3 stools and a radio/CD player. There are also baking tins and trays, a toastie maker and an electric whisk. All essential cleaning equipment is provided under the sink along with dishwasher tablets. The open plan dining area is furnished with cottage style chairs around a large solid antique pine dining table seating six very comfortably and making each meal relaxing and enjoyable. We have positioned a large framed wall map of the Highlands to help visitors plan their day trips over breakfast. Lounge
The spacious lounge enjoys a to the floor window looking out over the farm where you can enjoy the views from the comfort of your armchair. It is a very relaxing room especially whent he wood burning stove is alight. There is a wide variety of entertainment available for your use including a flat screen TV with a DVD Player. Relax and listen There is an extensive library of books and magazines encompassing fiction, information, various aspects of Scotland as well as local literature and maps. There are detailed folders containing Walks, Day Trips by Car, Boat Trips and Places to Visit & Wildlife to see. Also there are various board games including the very latest Highland Monopoly game where Loch Ness takes the place of Mayfair, playing cards, Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit along with other amusing games to keep the family entertained.
